Carefree Commuter Challenge in July - to decrease drive-alone trips to work

  • Manage a fun auto trip reduction event for all businesses in the Metro region
  • Provide an effective program to help employer transportation coordinators be more effective
  • Make employees eligible for prize drawings for reducing the drive-alone trips to work in July

Group presentations - to encourage employees to drive less

  • Provide quarterly meetings and seminars for transportation coordinators to increase their knowledge and effectiveness
  • Train transportation coordinators to carry out trip-reduction programs
  • Provide on-site meetings with employees
    • Promote the personal, economic and health benefits of reducing car trips
    • Introduce company incentives
    • Explain how to travel easily by transit, bike, foot, carpool and vanpool
    • Present web and paper references to demystify transit, biking, carpooling
