Farmington Road Concept Plan Project Update

Washington County recently wrapped up an online open house for the Farmington Road Concept Plan, gathering community feedback on ways to improve walking, biking, and traffic safety along this key corridor. 

The open house ran from May 2 to June 1, 2025, and nearly 170 people shared their input on possible improvements to bicycle and pedestrian facilities and the intersection at Farmington and Rosa Roads. 

Bike and Pedestrian Options Discussed: 

• Raised bike lane
• Multiuse path
• On-street bike lane with multiuse path

Rosa Road Intersection Alternatives: 

• Closing Rosa Road at Farmington Road
• Allowing right-in/right out turns only

​The feedback collected will help inform next steps. The results will be shared with the Board of County Commissioners, who will weigh the benefits, costs, and impacts of each option.
