Beaverton to Portland by Bike

Last week, in celebration of National Bike Month, the WTA led a “Reverse Commute Ride” from

Beaverton Transit Center to Goose Hollow (where we stopped for a tasty beverage). It was a great success. The ride was about 9 miles, and almost all on quiet neighborhood streets or protected bike paths. We encourage all of you to try it sometime whether as a commute or a leisurely weekend ride. Below are the directions for the route we took.
  1. North on Lombard from Beaverton TC
  2. Right on Center St
  3. Left on to trail in small park
  4. Immediate Right on 116th 
  5. Right on Fairfield
  6. Immediate Left on 116th
  7. Left on Terra Linda
  8. Right on Mayfield which will take you to the traffic light across Walker
  9. Right on Lynnridge (first street past Walker)
  10. Left on Roxbury (this is the climb up to 26)
  11. Right on Wilshire (takes you across 217)
  12. Left on 96th (takes you to beginning of bike path)
  13. Follow bike path (brings you out on Pointer) to Camelot Ct
  14. Left on Camelot Ct (takes you over 26 to north side)
  15. Right onto bike path – follow until it ends at Canyon Ct
  16. Follow Canyon Ct to zoo
  17. ZOO BOMB!
