Ride2Own Program is Offering Free eBikes!

• The program, funded by the PGE Drive Change Fund, seeks to support ebike uptake and create pathways for those who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity. 

• The program seeks to serve 25 Hillsboro residents (along with 25 in Milwaukee and 25 in Parkrose PDX) who qualify as: 
  • 18+
  • Low-income households
  • 75% of the program to serve people of color (as stated in the PGE grant). 

• Participants will receive: 
  • An e-bike (limited cargo e-bikes will also be available)  
  • Free bike gear essentials  
  • Free bike tune ups, repair, and part replacement  
  • Free bike trainings and support services  
  • Opportunities to attend free community biking events   
  • Free membership to The Street Trust

• The one-year program asks participants to track their e-bike rides and share their experiences with riding. Upon completion of the program, the ebike is theirs to keep!

• The Hillsboro cohort's application closes Friday, May 3rd. 
• Orientation is scheduled for Saturday, May 18th!
