Helping you navigate cuts & changes to Lines 45 & 96
If you're a frequent rider of Lines 45, or 96, you need to know about some major changes coming to your usual route.
To help inform riders, we worked with the City of Tigard, City of Tualatin, TriMet, our business members, and TriMet to post supplemental rider alert information at select stops in Washington County with pending service changes or cuts.

Westside MAX disruption wraps up, more construction along the alignment
MAX Blue and Red Line trains resumed regular service on Sunday, Aug. 9.
During the two-week project, July 26 through Aug. 8, crews upgraded three rail crossings. These are the parts of the system where the rail, road and sidewalks merge. Crews improved drainage near the crossings, helping to redirect road runoff. They also repaired rail and repaved sections of the street along Southwest Merlo Road, Southwest 170th Avenue and West Baseline Road.

TriMet service cuts and changes coming Sunday, August 23
TriMet has updated the changes and cuts on deck for August 23, 2026.
On the Westside, changing services include: 20 - Burnside/Stark, 76 - Hall/Greenburg, 45 - Garden Home, 37 - Lake Grove, 38 - Boones Ferry Rd, 58 - Canyon Rd, 96 - Tualatin / I-5, 97 - Tualatin-Sherwood Rd, and LIFT Paratransit Service.

RIDER ALERT: Westside MAX disruptions start this Sunday
Starting July 26, through August 8, expect Westside MAX trips to take an extra 15 to 30 minutes longer than usual as TriMet works to improve at-grade crossings along the alignment.
