(App only) Record a trip

With the new Get There Connect app (available on Google Play and the iOS App Store) you can record your trips live with GPS data.


To get started, download the Get There Connect app on on Google Play or the iOS App Store, and log in to your Get There account.


  1. Open the Get There Connect App.


  2. Press the "Record" button on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen.


  1. Tap the mode of transportation to open the dropdown selection.


  2. Select the mode of transportation you'll be using on your trip.


  1. Press the "START" button to begin recording your trip.


While Get There Connect begins recording your trip, you might see a message that says "Waiting for GPS..." Make sure you're not under any roofs or overpasses so Get There Connect can acquire GPS signs.

  1. When you arrive at your destination, press the "STOP" button.


  2. Press the "SAVE" button if you wish to log the recorded trip, or press the "DISCARD" button if you don't want to log the recorded trip.

  1. If you save the trip. You'll get confirmation in a pop-up.


  2. Answer the question about the kind of trip you took ("commute," "errand," "recreation," or "other").


  3. That's it! Your recorded trip should now appear in the Activity Log accessible by pressing the "Log" button on the bottom menu bar.

Please note that trips recorded using this method cannot be changed later. You will be unable to change: the recorded mode, the date, the arrival time, your origin or destination addresses, or the distance.

You can only change the trip purpose, or delete the trip from your Activity Log.
