Created through a partnership between the City of Hillsboro and TriMet, 2.89 acres of undeveloped land within TriMet's Willow Creek Transit Center is being jointly developed and owned by Mercy Housing Northwest and the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO). Funded in part by the Metro Regional Housing Bond, Willow Creek Affordable Housing will provide a high density, family-oriented community within a Transit-Oriented Development emphasizing an urban form connected to green spaces and nature. Anticipated to open in late summer 2028, this new residential community will provide multi cultural preschool services to the greater community, taking advantage of links to public transportation, Portland Community College, and other significant community resources.
