Summer on the Westside: Connecting, Riding, and Getting Around

It's been a busy summer for WTA! We've been out in the community connecting with neighbors, businesses, and transportation enthusiasts at events across the Westside.
In July, we joined the Westside Sustainable Living Fair on July 18, sharing information about transportation options and ways to make everyday trips more sustainable. We also co-hosted the Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce morning Coffee Connection on July 31 at the Beaverton Round, bringing together local businesses and community partners for conversation, connection, and donuts!
August kept us moving. On August 8, we joined the first-ever Bike Hillsboro event, organized by the City of Hillsboro and WashCo Bikes. The fun, family-friendly event connected three Hillsboro parks by bike, with participants starting at WashCo Bikes and ending at Bagley Park. WTA was stationed at Bagley Park to share information about our Bike Lending Library and show off one of our e-bikes. It was a great day to celebrate biking and community.
That same evening, we brought our bike valet to the Beaverton Night Market, giving attendees a convenient place to park their bikes while they enjoyed the event.
And while our events may come and go, WTA's Bike Lending Library keeps rolling! Our fleet of bikes is available for eligible community members who want to try biking for transportation, explore whether an e-bike could work for their commute, or simply have another option for getting around.
