ODOT wants to hear from you about the proposed implementation of the State Rail Plan.  The Oregon State Rail Plan explores issues affecting the state's rail freight and passenger system. It assesses both public and private transportation at the state, regional and local level.

This upcoming Tuesday, March 18, TriMet is celebrating Transit Driver Appreciation Day in recognition of all the drivers who keep our region moving!

Here are five ways you can celebrate your driver on Tuesday, March 18:

1. Say thank-you, wave or give your operator a smile.
   
2. Share a note or GIF on this online board today. We know they’ll appreciate your kind words!
   
3. Sign a banner at one of these 5 locations next Tuesday: Beaverton TC, Clackamas TC, Gresham TC, Rose Quarter TC, PSU Urban Plaza.
   
4. Print out a card and hand it to your favorite driver!
   
5. Join TriMet employees on the Portland Transit Mall in Downtown Portland. Folks will come together from Alder to Yamhill on SW 6th, and Main to Jefferson on SW 5th from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tigard Safe Streets Action Plan
The City of Tigard is kicking off its Safe Streets Action Plan, a process that will guide the City's actions and investments to improve safety for people walking, biking, taking transit, and driving. This planning process relies on the input of community members (like you!) as the City develops strategies to eliminate traffic fatalities and serious injuries in an equitable, climate-friendly, and accessible way for everyone. 

Schedule/Timeline
The planning process for this plan began in June 2024 and will wrap up summer 2025. After that, the City will work on implementing the plan.
