On April 23, 2024, the Washington County Board of Commissioners proclaimed May 2024 as Bicycle Safety Month. At Westside Transportation Alliance (WTA), we're proud supporters of Bicycle Safety Month, an initiative promoted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This month is dedicated to raising awareness and providing public education about the importance of making biking safer and more reliable.

You can get started biking with any kind of bike. All you really need is a helmet, lock, and lights. Any clothes can be biking clothes. If needed, there are lots of ways to carry your belongings, whether on your bike or with a backpack. |
